NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS
To the Shareholders of United Development Funding IV:
You are cordially invited to attend the 2023 Annual Meeting of Shareholders (“Annual Meeting”) of United Development Funding IV, a Maryland real estate investment trust (the “Trust”). Notice is hereby given that the Annual Meeting will be a virtual meeting conducted via webcast on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Central Time (11:00 a.m. Eastern Time) for the following purposes:
- The election of one trustee to serve until our Annual Meeting of Shareholders to be held in 2026 and until such trustee’s successor is duly elected and qualifies;
- Ratification of the selection of Bodwell Vasek Wells DeSimone LLP as our independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2023; and
- To transact such other business as may properly come before the Annual Meeting or at any adjournments or postponements thereof.

Order Denying Preliminary Injunction
On December 11, 2023, the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, Maryland denied a motion by NexPoint Real Estate Opportunities, LLC for a preliminary injunction to postpone the annual meeting of shareholders of United Development Funding IV.
